Second Patent for INNOVENTIONS enhances its RotoView(TM) "tilt and scroll" navigation technology

HOUSTON - August 23, 2005 - INNOVENTIONS, Inc. has been awarded today US Patent 6,933,923 for its RotoView "tilt and scroll" display navigation system. This new patent, the second for RotoView, expands the company's intellectual property rights for the invention and creates a wider portfolio of licensing opportunities.

Described by online magazine Brighthand.com as one of nine technologies "that could profoundly change handhelds," RotoView allows mobile device users to navigate a small display by simply changing the orientation at which it is held. INNOVENTIONS was first awarded US Patent 6,466,198 for RotoView in October 2002.

"This second RotoView patent shows our continuing commitment to the 'tilt and scroll' view navigation," said David Y. Feinstein, President of INNOVENTIONS. "We invented RotoView to replace the cumbersome mechanical navigation switches currently used in mobile devices, including wireless phones and portable gaming systems. RotoView creates an intuitive and user-friendly alternative for navigating these small displays."

During RotoView's Navigation mode, the user tilts the unit left-right or up-down to see beyond the virtual boundaries of the display. At any time, the user can exit Navigation mode to "fix" the display, then resume Navigation mode and continue to rotate the device to view the remainder of the screen. The user can even zoom in and out.

Ed Hardy, Editor of Brighthand.com, wrote, "Some ideas are so simple, when you first hear of them you think, 'Now why didn't I think of that?' RotoView is one such invention."

INNOVENTIONS continues to discuss RotoView licensing opportunities with mobile device companies. A PC-based RotoView Evaluation System for engineers and product managers who wish to evaluate the technology is now available for $195.
